LMO record Kick-Ass

Kickass Poster SmallDave Lizewski is an average high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or even a meaningful reason to do so.

Matthew Vaughn’s latest film stars Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Mark Strong and Chloe Moretz and is produced by Marv films and Plan B Entertainment.

LMO worked with four composers on Kick-Ass – Ilan Eshkeri, Marius De Vries, John Murphy and Henry Jackman. The score was recorded at Air Lyndhurst and Abbey Road studios. LMO was conducted by Gavin Greenaway and Andy Brown and Steve Mclaughlin produced all the sessions.

Distributed by Lionsgate, Kick-Ass was released in the UK on March 26 2010.

LMO record for U2’s 360° World Tour

u-2-resizedLMO recently recorded string arrangements by Caroline Dale for U2’s 360° World Tour which is currently in the US and will be coming to Europe in 2010. The recordings, which took place at British Grove studios in London, also featured solo Deduk played by Martin Robertson and cello solos from Caroline Dale. The tour, which features an innovative 360° design affording an unobstructed view for the audience, has been selling out to rave reviews all over the world.
