Co – Directed by Drew Dowdle and John Erick Dowdle, Devil stars Chris Messina, Geoffrey Arend and Bojana Novakovic and was filmed on location in Canada.

Spanish composer Fernando Velasquez , who was working with LMO for the first time, recently scored his music for Devil with LMO at Air Lyndhurst Hall. Fernando scored for 28 strings (6 first violins, 6 seconds, 6 violas, 6 celli and 4 double basses), bass clarinet doubling clarinet, bassoon, contra bassoon, 4 horns, trumpet, tenor trombone, bass trombone, cimbasso doubling tuba, harp, piano, 2 percussion and timps. Fernando also conducted LMO which was led by Nick Ward, orchestrations were by Bob Elhai and Jessica Dannheiser and Steve McLaughlin engineered and produced the sessions.

Devil will be released by Universal Pictures in the US and Canada in September 2010.

Knucklehead was filmed on location in New Orleans. It stars Kurt Doss, Raziel Jordan and Lurie Poston and is directed by Michael W Watkin. It’s one of a slate of films projected for release in the next couple of years produced by WWE or World Wrestling Entertainment.

4 times BMI award winning composer Jim Johnston used a 37 piece orchestra for the recording comprising 10 first violins, 8 seconds, 6 violas, 4 celli and 2 double basses with flute, oboe, clarinet doubling bass clarinet, bassoon and 3  horns.

The score was recorded by Jake Jackson at Air Lyndhurst Hall with LMO conducted by Andy Brown. Jim Johnston produced the recording with Chris Brooks, both from a link with a Los Angeles studio.

Knucklehead will be released by WWE in the US this October 24.

The music (with accompanying Disney footage) will be rolled out soon in Disney Stores Worldwide, starting with a launch in Madrid later in July 2010.

Norwegian composer Magnus Beite recently scored his music with LMO at Air Lyndhurst Hall. Magnus scored for 38 strings (10 first violins, 10 seconds, 8 violas, 6 celli and 4 double basses), flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and 4 horns. Andy Brown conducted LMO which was led by David Juritz and Steve McLaughlin engineered / co produced the sessions with Magnus Beite.

Woodman Getting Married was premiered at the Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children under its Canadian title of Twigson, and will be released in Norway on 24 September 2010.

It is 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland. A young centurion Marcus Aquila arrives from Rome to try and solve the mystery, retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem and restore the reputation of his father, the Commander of the Ninth.

LMO have recently completed work on Atli Örvarsson’s score for Eagle of the Ninth which is directed by Kevin Macdonald, produced by Duncan Kenworthy and stars Channing Tatum and Donald Sutherland. Filming took place exclusively in the Scottish Highlands.

Atli’s score involved 2 days of recording at Abbey Road studio 1. 2 sessions were convened for 38 strings (10 first violins, 10 seconds, 8 violas, 6 celli and 4 double basses), one session for 44 strings and a further session for 16 celli and 6 double basses. Finally, a brass session comprised 6 horns, 3 tenor trombones, bass trombone and tuba. Andy Brown conducted all the sessions and orchestrations were by Julian Kershaw. Further overdub sessions for the score were contributed by Scottish fiddlers, an ancient Scottish instrument called the Carnyx, Celtic Harp and Cimbalon at British Grove studios.

Steve Mclaughlin produced all the sessions for Eagle of the Ninth which is released by Focus Features in the US in February 2011.

Orchestrations were by Jessica Dannheiser and the score was recorded and co produced by Steve McLaughlin and Ilan Eshkeri. Andy Brown conducted LMO which was led by David Juritz.

Blitz will be released by Lionsgate later this year.

LMO recently recorded the Dead of Winter which was directed by Bill Anderson – the last film for ITV’s new

This incredibly popular series, now in its fourth season, stars Kevin Whately as Inspector Lewis and Laurence Fox as DS James Hathaway.

Barrington Pheloung used a 17 piece string section with flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and harp for his underscore which was recorded at Abbey Road studio 2.

Matt Slater assisted Barrington with score preparation and production. LMO was led by David Juritz and the session was engineered by Paul Golding.

The new Lewis series started airing in May 2010 on ITV.
