LMO are delighted that Barrington Pheloung‘s Inspector Morse has been voted the nation’s favourite TV tune!

Inspector Morse has been voted the No 1 TV theme song of all time, in a poll by more than 20,000 Classic FM listeners and Radio Times.

LMO’s first engagement in 1986 was to record this theme at Lansdowne studios, London. LMO featured a small string group for this recording with Barrington himself playing the solo classical guitar. Inspector Morse, which starred John Thaw as the detective, aired from 1987 to 2000 and LMO recorded all the music for this hugely successful series which is still broadcasting Worldwide.
