LMO record Legendary with Jim Johnston.
Legendary was filmed on location in New Orleans and stars Tyler Posey and Patricia Clarkson. It’s directed by Mel Damsky and tells the story of a teenager who joins his school’s wrestling team in an attempt to reunite family members, who were split apart after the death of his father, a college wrestling legend, a few years previously.
Legendary is one of a slate of films projected for release in the next couple of years produced by WWE or World Wrestling Entertainment.
LMO were privileged to be working for the first time with 4 times BMI award winning composer Jim Johnston who has been working with WWE for 15 years.
Jim’s orchestra for the recording comprised 8 first violins, 6 seconds, 4 violas, 4 celli and 2 double basses with flute, clarinet, horn and 2 trumpets.
The score was recorded by Jake Jackson at Air Lyndhurst Hall with LMO conducted by Andy Brown. Jim Johnston produced the recording with Chris Brooks, both from a link with a Los Angeles studio.
Legendary will be released by WWE in the US this September 10.
