LMO records Crusoe with James Brett for NBC
NBC’s new Crusoe series is based on Daniel DeFoe’s famous novel which was written in 1719. Filmed on location in Yorkshire, The Seychelles and South Africa, Crusoe is an action-packed period drama set in the 17th century, but with a contemporary take on race relations...LMO recently spent 4 days in Abbey Road studio 2 with composer / conductor James Brett recording 6 x 1 hour episodes of NBC’s Crusoe series which has already started broadcasting in the US.

James’s usual orchestral strength for each episode was string quintet (2 violins, viola, cello and double bass), single woodwind (flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon), 2 horns and trumpet. 2 leaders were used – David Juritz and Cathy Thompson, and recorder player Nina Robertson was involved in one of the episodes. Richard Lancaster engineered all sessions.
