The Last Shadow Puppets have had a busy 2008, playing at the Reading and Leeds Pop Festivals and then touring Europe and the USA. LMO came with them for several of their UK performances, from Wolverhampton to Hammersmith, as a result of the album recording done a year ago at British Grove studios.Performing songs taken from their latest hit album The Age of the Understatement, The Last Shadow Puppets were accompanied by 4 1st violins, 4 2nd violins, 2 violas and 2 celli, with single horn, trumpet, trombone and timpani / percussion. The orchestra was led by Cathy Thompson and conducted by Andy Brown.
